Battle against bulge via Meso-Lipo Therapy

Win the battle against bulge with Meso-Lipo Therapy by ReeAge Clinic, Bangalore

If you are no couch potato and try your best to eat healthy (with PMS-excused binges) but still feel you are more flabulous than fabulous, then it may be time to take a look at mesotherapy. I first heard about mesotherapy four years ago from a friend who was thinking about trying it. We were the same in terms of being frustrated with certain parts of our bodies that had accumulated stubborn pockets of fat, and even if we were quite active and did our best to avoid evil (albeit delicious) food, we lamented on how we still felt “jiggly with it.” I did some research and what attracted me to meso was that it was non-invasive and had no down time. I went for four sessions despite being told it only had a 30 to 40 percent efficacy rate, some patients reacted quite well to it, while some had no visible change whatsoever. Sad to say, I was grouped in with the latter, and felt like I would just have to learn to love my love handles, so to speak.

Bumping into an acquaintance at work last November prompted me to take another look at mesotherapy. She had given birth to her second child and although she was quite lean, there were still parts of her that refused to bid farewell to the fat that she had gained while pregnant. She swore by mesotheraphy and her doctor, Aivee Aguilar-Teo of NU U Asia. Since there is no harm in having a consultation, I made an appointment the week after. I had a lot of questions because of trepidation toward meso (since it didn’t work before) and Dra. Teo patiently explained to me what I could expect from giving it a second chance but, she warned, mesotherapy or in her case, meso-lipo therapy would only be effective if I continued to exercise regularly, watch my diet and increase my intake of water as it would certainly speed up my metabolism.

As a quick backgrounder, mesotherapy was developed in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor and meso-lipo therapy which falls under it uses medically formulated micro injections given into the mesoderm, or the fat layer which may help in ridding targeted areas of undesired pockets and bulges of fat. In my case, I was advised by Dr. Teo to start off with my tummy area and if I took to the treatment well (once a week and a minimum of 5 sessions) then I could move on to other problematic parts. I lay on the bed as she ‘marked’ me with a felt tip pen and showed me her meso “gun” and proceeded to (as I have now coined) ‘poke’ me. For those who are afraid of needles and are not vain enough to tolerate the slight discomfort when having a series of shots, this is not for you. To be honest, I barely felt the needle going in and out and was done in under 15 minutes. Next step was to have an Accent treatment which made use of radio frequency (heat) massaged on to my body in order to help spread the medicines and to further tone and tighten the skin.

Ironically on my way out, I bumped into a relative who was also going to start her first session of meso and we promised to keep one another updated with the progress. The next day, she called me to say that she had shed five pounds after her session but had experienced some bruising on the parts where she was “poked.” I, on the other hand had not had any bruising but no weight or inch loss either; I had committed to at least five sessions so I promised I was going to be patient. I remained faithful to my weekly treatments and even moved on to have my inner thighs and my bra line fat meso’d, and developed some bruising eventually, and, at one point, an allergic rash. All of this, Dr. Teo explained were normal reactions and after two to three sessions depending on how my body was reacting, she would adjust the dosage and the ingredients put into my personal fat melting cocktail. I remained optimistic and checked my inch lost and weight loss every week.

It was on the day after my fifth treatment that I had a very, very pleasant surprise. I gazed into my full-length mirror and realized that my tummy bulge had certainly flattened out and I was more shapely. My waist (which was always my problem area since I was a teenager) had actually reduced in size and, even more dramatic my back fat or “wings” was practically gone. I excitedly pulled out clothes from my closet that I didn’t have the guts to wear since they were a bit more revealing and of a more body hugging cut, and they fit perfectly, no uncomfortable adjusting to be made. Bouyed by my appearance, I signed up for five more sessions with my sights set on a weekend in Boracay, excess fat-free.

Although I am now a believer, I have to agree with Dr. Teo’s advice that meso is not for everyone. “I really interview meso candidates with regard to their medical history and their expectations, says Teo. “It’s not for those who have hyperthyroid, are hypertensive or diabetic, but it is definitely a safer alternative to liposuction and is something that you can do every once in a while when you need spot treatments.” Priced at around P3,500 per area, it is regarded as a reasonable quick fix.

It is important to note that there may be other side effects that I personally didn’t experience and that it is not a cure all especially if one is not disciplined enough to be active and to watch their diet, but suffice to say, for those who have tried everything (health wise) getting ‘poked’ is certainly one way of getting into flirting shape without breaking the bank.

At Ree Age, we have a qualified team to conduct Meso-Lipo Therapy and our lab is fully equipped with required facilities for Meso-Lipo Therapy.

BENEFITS OF FIR SAUNA

Benefits Of FIR Sauna by ReeAge Clinic, Bangalore

These Infrared rays are selectively absorbed by the tissues. The production of infrared energy that occurs within our tissues is associated with a variety of healing responses. After boosting a tissue’s absorption level to maximum, healing responses are optimised. This phenomenon is called Resonant Absorption.

The reason infrared saunas work is so unique is that they use radiant energy to directly penetrate the body’s tissues to a depth of over 2.5 inches, in different parts of the body. The light energy output of an infrared sauna can be tuned to correspond so closely to the body’s own radiant energy so that our bodies absorb close to 93% of the heat waves that reach our skin.
Less than 20% of the energy heats the air, leaving over 80% available to be directly converted to heat within our bodies. Therefore, an infrared sauna can warm its user to a much greater depth and much more effectively than a conventional sauna. This important difference explains many of the unparalleled health benefits reported to be available through your home infrared sauna that is not achievable through the use of a standard sauna.

VERY BROAD SPECTRUM OF BENEFITS
A healthy sweat permits your skin to eradicate body wastes through perspiration. It increases the detoxification capabilities of your skin and takes advantage of the skin’s ability to regulate its protective mantle and pH. However, the benefits extend far beyond a simple sweat. Far infrared light infiltrates beyond superficial skin layers and is absorbed by cells and tissues below, which has proven beneficial for numerous health concerns. Near infrared is mostly absorbed at the skin level and raises the skin temperature.

To create best FIR atmosphere Ree Age has such advanced and well equipped Far Infrared Sauna systems. Far Infrared waves can penetrate the body up to two inches, and does not raise the surface skin temperature. This energy excites the energy of molecules vibration and resonates with cellular frequencies. We cannot exactly perceive the deep heating effects of FIR, as our body’s capacity to sense heat is chiefly at the skin level.
The effects of FIR rays encourage bioprocesses such as increased metabolism, blood circulation, immune system response, and core body temperature elevation.

Infrared saunas work to encourage microcirculation, therefore supplying more healing oxygen to injured tissues in cartilage, joints and musculoskeletal tissues. Inflammation subsequently subsides. When the inflammation diminishes, not only does the occurrence of chronic degenerative diseases decrease, but overall health, energy, and well-being is elevated to a new plateau. There has even been outstanding improvement in cases of insomnia and sleep apnea as well.

Often times, chronic diseases are associated with the accumulation of toxic metals and petrochemicals that are located in fat cells and neighboring connective tissue. These toxins decrease the cell’s ability to take delivery of oxygen and key nutrients that are contained in the bloodstream.

Toxins and heavy metals inhibit the pulsating energy of these cells and tissue, and deter the purging of toxic metabolic waste. As the toxins slowly build up and accumulate, the total toxic load in your body overpowers the immune system, as well as vital bioprocesses. Toxic overload in our bodies is responsible for various detrimental chemical changes that will virtually guarantee an array of chronic diseases that puzzle the majority of the medical profession.

Infrared saunas offer a broad range of genuine health benefits aimed at increasing your overall wellness. Blood vessels are dilated to generate flushing, which mobilizes your blood supply. Elimination of toxic heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and aluminum via profuse sweating occur.
It produces an overall youthfulness of skin from increased microcirculation, blood flow, pore cleansing and rejuvenated elasticin-collagen tissues. It is an effective tool in addressing various skin disorders such as acne, rosacea, cellulite, eczema, varicose veins and keloid scar tissue.
The deep heating and detoxification properties of a far infrared sauna have proven extremely effective in benefiting the treatment of debilitating and chronic diseases such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Heart Disease.

WHY WOULD A PHYSICIAN RECOMMEND FAR INFRARED SAUNA THERAPY?
A number of doctors recommend it for improving the skin, while others will even recommend it in cancer management. Numerous alternative cancer centers are employing far infrared saunas as part of their detoxification and chemo/ radiation protocols.

If you have cardiovascular health problems, you will be interested in knowing that an article in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology demonstrated that using a sauna on a regular basis improves vascular, endothelial, and cardiac function in patients with congestive heart failure.

Additionally, treatments diminished systolic blood pressure in patients. A Japanese study of 20 men with at least one risk factor for heart disease assessed the effects of a short 15-minute stay in a 140 degree F sauna every other day for two weeks. Another study done at the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine, Kagoshima University, Japan, demonstrated the hemodynamic benefits of a sauna in relation to Congestive Heart Failure.

Once lost is lost forever...!

Tips for weight loss by Reeage Clinic, Bangalore

We all want to lose fat and stay healthy but have also experienced the failures with diet plans and few workout regimes. Let’s have a look at what science has to say about weight loss tips?

  1. Proteins are the building blocks for our muscles and it keeps us full. It breaks down carbs into sugar and acts as a sort of buffer against sharp dips and spikes in insulin levels and our sugar carvings.

  1. Regular movement of any kind is a key component of any healthy lifestyle. It’s especially important if you’re looking to slim down and keep the weight off for the long term. Exercise is not a shortcut to weight loss. When we pump up our activity levels, our hunger levels tend to increase in tandem. Our body begins to break down fat stores for basic functions, such as walking, talking and even sleeping once its carb stores have been exhausted. So exercise more often.

  1. Don’t skip meals. Especially breakfast! Starving your body and brain creates intense urges to eat high-calories foods. Healthy foods will keep your hormone levels and metabolism in check.

  1. Stress and sleep can drastically affect your weight. Countless studies have shown that the amount of sleep and stress you have in your life can play a major part in how healthy you eat. Sleep deprivation and high-stress levels increase appetite, making it harder for you to refuse guilty pleasures. So get some sleep.

  1. Drinking water It is often claimed that drinking water can help with weight loss — and that’s true. Drinking water can boost metabolism by 24–30% helping you burn off a few more calories. Drinking half liter water about half an hour before meals helped dieters eat fewer calories and lose more weight, compared to those who didn’t drink the water.

How Ultrasonic Liposuction Works?

Ultrasonic liposuction or in short UAL[Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction], is a non-invasive fat removal procedure that uses high-pitched sound waves to liquefy fat in a specific area before it is removed. UAL is a type of liposuction that is primarily used for fat removal in hard-to-treat areas such as the chin, neck, cheeks, knees, calves, and ankles. It usually serves as an addition to tumescent liposuction for patients who require more precise body contouring.
